Liability insurance covers whatever you are liable for in the event of an accident. If you injure another driver or drivers, they are covered under your bodily injury limits. Their car is also covered under the property damage limits.

 

This coverage is required by law.  

 

The minimum requirements are $15,000/$30,000 in bodily injury, and $5,000 in property damage. These limits may not be enough if you own property or are leasing a car. You can make changes to your liability limits here.
